Max Alves da Silva got the nod for his first start in Burgundy on Wednesday, 29 minutes into the match against Comunicaciones F.C. the Brazilian scored.
The goal put the Colorado Rapids ahead early in the game and tied the matchup on aggregate at two.

Max and the ‘Pids took advantage of an undermanned visiting group, as Stheven Robles picked up a red card 13 minutes in. Max joined the Rapids a few weeks ago.
The match will go down as one of the coldest in Rapids history, with a kickoff temperature below 10 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
For the 20-year-old forward, we guess he’s more Burrrzilian than we thought.
