After going down 2-0 to Minnesota United FC in the first half, it appeared as though the Colorado Rapids might be on their way to another home loss.
But whatever Robin Fraser told the players in the locker room at halftime, worked.
The Rapids came out with a renewed energy and put consistent pressure on the Loons. It paid off 10 minutes into the second half when Kellyn Acosta opened scoring for Colorado with a volley at the top of the box.

After hitting the woodwork earlier in the match, Cole Bassett found the equalizer in the 71st minute. Bassett subbed in for DP Younes Namli in the first half after Namli went down with an injury.

Finally, the set piece king Jack Price served up a free kick late in the game that Danny Wilson got his head on to drive in the winning goal.

When the final whistle blew, the Burgundy Boys sent Minnesota home empty-handed and got a bit of revenge from the 2020 playoff loss.
