In Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Sounders, Colorado Rapids’ left back Lucas Esteves was given an unexplainable red card for a mystery foul. While VAR auto-reviews situations like red cards, there was no stoppage of play for head referee Chris Penso to review his call.

Needless to say, many of us have been waiting to see what MLS Disciplinary Committee has to say about it. They today announced that the red card has been rescinded and Esteves will be available for their game against Minnesota United this weekend. Esteves did, however, get fined for not leaving the field in a timely manner.
