Earlier in the week, we reported that that the Colorado Rapids were looking for a fullback and on Friday afternoon, Tom Bogert broke that they were signing free agent defender Steven Beitashour.

Beitashour, 33, was most recently with LAFC. Club see him as squad depth behind Sam Vines primarily. #Rapids96
Beitashour has been a right back for most of his career and was with LAFC for the previous two seasons. The 33-year-old was with Toronto FC when they were the MLS Cup runner-ups in 2016 and won in 2017. He became a free agent at the end of the 2019 season and in April 2020, told MLSSoccer.com that “I’m ready to get back on the field. And I’m still competitive, so I want to play, I want to win. That’s definitely what drives my head.”
The club has not confirmed the signing.
