Editor’s Note: The Rapids @ FC Dallas game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 16th.

Earlier this evening, amid NBA playoff games being postponed and rumors flying that MLS might follow suit, the league made a statement about the recent shooting of Jacob Blake:

While Orlando City SC and Nashville SC played as planned, Inter Miami CF and Atlanta United called off their game about 25 minutes after the scheduled kickoff.

Three minutes before the scheduled kickoff, it was reported that the Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas were planning to postpone. (Neither club had released their starting XI yet.)

Several sources (including in-stadium) were reporting that the game had been postponed and finally, FC Dallas announced it at 6:47 p.m. MT.

The rest of the games scheduled for tonight (Wednesday night) have also been postponed per Taylor Twellman, Paul Tenorio, and others. It’s important to note that the protest was a player-led initiative and not led by the league.
