UPDATE 7/6: The Rapids flew to Orlando today—Monday, July 6th—after two members received false positives on Sunday and then were re-tested and got a negative result on Monday morning. They will remain in Colorado until they get a second consecutive negative test result.

The Colorado Rapids were all set to head to Orlando this morning—until two members of the traveling party tested positive for COVID-19. Initially reported by Sam Stejskal of The Athletic, the club confirmed it via press release Sunday afternoon.

Sports + Aviation shared the flight number as DL8911 from DEN to MCO, which was confirmed by an independent source with the airline, and the flight has been cancelled per the Delta website this morning.
Burgundy Wave photographer John Babiak was at DSGP this morning snapping some socially distanced photos and reported that everyone seemed to be in positive spirits, ready to go to the tournament.
This makes a total of four members of the club (including three players) that have tested positive for COVID-19 in recent weeks.
