Colorado Rapids forward Andre Shinyashiki will appear on The Cooligans on Tuesday, June 9th to talk about the CBA negotiations that led to the summer tournament in Orlando and what it will be like to play without fans.

In a preview clip, the 2019 MLS Rookie of the Year told Alexis and Christian that he thought the “compromise was big... we compromised on a lot of things that we felt like were non-negotiable and ended up being negotiable just because of being in a weird situation.”

Shinyashiki went on to say that he thinks many players did not want to leave their families and go to Orlando. In the end, he said there is a long way to go when it comes to the relationship between the players and MLS.

Shinyashiki also spoke to whether or not the lack of fans changes the game, especially home-field advantage. He called it “a different game” and it’s “terrible” playing without fans, even with a small but passionate fanbase. “Without them, it’s going to be hard,” he said. “But we’re going to have to find a way to dig and to present high-quality soccer.”

You can watch the entire episode on Tuesday, June 9th at 8 p.m. PT/ET on fubo Sports Network for free.
