After acquiring the rights to Will Vint from Atlanta United in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft , the Colorado Rapids have signed the 18-year-old midfielder to a homegrown contract.

Vint was born in Chandler, Arizona, and his family moved to Colorado when he was three years old. Growing up in Colorado Springs, he played for Real Colorado and Pride Soccer and then spent two years with Manchester United’s youth academy. Most recently, Vint spent last season with Atlanta United 2, making 16 appearances and earning a goal and an assist.

“Will is a promising, young talent with a high ceiling,” said Pádraig Smith, Colorado Rapids EVP & General Manager. “For him to have previously earned an opportunity with the academy of a club like Manchester United goes to show his potential and why we’re excited to have him join the Rapids.”

Vint—along with Jeremy Kelly and Abe Rodriguez—will be formally introduced to fans and the media today (March 4) from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Dairy Block.
