In celebration of Major League Soccer’s 25th anniversary, MLS clubs unveiled their new 2020 kits during Fashion Week in New York City. Each club had the opportunity to send a representative to model their kit and the Colorado Rapids sent Special Olympics athlete Scotty Stephens, a forward on the Rapids’ Unified squad.

The new kit features a burgundy jersey with sky blue shorts and socks. The design includes a 25th season league patch and the Rapids have a special silver, nine-star ‘Founding Club’ mark since they are one of the original nine MLS clubs.
Wayne Brant, Colorado Rapids Sr. Vice President of Business Operations, said “The Nine Six celebrates an important milestone in our club’s history. Twenty-five years ago, the groundwork was laid for the growth of this sport with the development of our league, and in the years since, we’ve been gifted with some unforgettable moments. We’re excited to kick off the 2020 season with the launch of our new kit and look forward to announcing the full list of 25th season celebrations soon.”

All of the clubs have the same general template with the three strips and similar features, but the body is different in each one.
