Tonight’s the night! At 6:30 p.m. MT, MLS is showcasing the new primary kits in a fashion show at New York Fashion Week. Many clubs sent a special representative to unveil their jerseys, and the Colorado Rapids chose Special Olympic athlete Scotty Stephens.

Scotty is a forward on the Colorado Rapids Special Olympics Unified Team, which consists of individuals both with and without intellectual disabilities. The Stephens family has long been involved in the program, and Scotty’s younger brother Jonny was one of the “partners,” or players without special needs, for the 2017 squad.

Tonight, Scotty will join former Rapids player Marvell Wynne, MLS Great Alexi Lalas, the newly signed Chicharito Hernandez, Fox Sports broadcaster Katie Witham, actor Colin Hanks, and others on the runway to show off the new jerseys.

Scotty is already enjoying his time in NYC, and we can’t wait to see the new kits tonight!
