MLS dropped the new anthem today and you need to listen to it right now

In celebration of the league’s 25th anniversary, Major League Soccer has released a new anthem that will be played before each game when the teams walk onto the pitch.

In celebration of the league’s 25th anniversary, Major League Soccer has released a new anthem that will be played before each game when the teams walk onto the pitch. Composed by Grammy and Academy Award-winning musician Hans Zimmer, who has created scores for more than 150 major films including Gladiator, The Lion King, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Dark Knight trilogy, and most recently for the new James Bond movie, No Time To Die. He also worked with The Buggles, whose debut single “Video Killed the Radio Star” reached number one in the UK and 15 other countries in 1979.

The first time we will hear the anthem in an MLS game will be on Saturday, February 29 when our Colorado Rapids take on D.C. United at 11 a.m. MT, but you can listen below:

In my opinion, the new anthem is a step up. While the old one was classic and regal, this one has more of a modern edge and I’m here for it.
