The Colorado Rapids announced that their upcoming match on Saturday, October 3rd vs. the Portland Timbers has been rescheduled for November 4th at 8 p.m. MT.
The announcement comes after the Rapids received multiple positive COVID-19 results. While the club has confirmed a total of two players and 10 staff members, it is rumored that there have been even more than that this week:
Since this story ran, Rapids have had three more individuals -- two players, one staffer -- test positive for COVID-19, per a source. Total now at 14; four players, 10 staffers.— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) September 30, 2020
Earliest team can resume training is Friday, putting Saturday's game at Portland very much in doubt. https://t.co/AXOxcAeU84
Colorado have not trained since the initial report on September 24th, and players and technical staff have been tested for COVID-19 daily.
