#COLvSEA: Starting XI & Game Preview

The rescheduled April game will take place tonight at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

MLS: Colorado Rapids at Seattle Sounders FC Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The last time the Seattle Sounders came to play the Colorado Rapids was back in April and the game was rescheduled due to snow. The reschedule feels like a blessing tonight, since the Sounders are without at least 10 players thanks to international call-ups and had to sign two Tacoma Defiance (formerly Seattle Sounders FC 2) players to short-term deals under MLS’ “extreme-hardship” rule.

See what else Seattle has been up to over the past few months and what Robin Fraser might be able to expect from them in Colin’s game preview here.

The Rapids are missing four players from the roster tonight: Kei Kamara (Sierra Leone), Diego Rubio (Chile), Cole Bassett (US U-20). Sebastian Anderson (US U-17). Colorado has three players on the injury report: Kortne Ford and Deklan Wynne, and then also Tim Howard (hamstring). Howard was listed as questionable, but since he was in New Jersey being honored by the USMNT last night, it’s not surprising that Clint Irwin is getting the start tonight.

Altitude Sports and the Rapids are still blacked out on Comcast/Xfinity, Dish, and DIRECTV, so if you can’t make it to the game tonight, tune into 92.5 FM. There will be fireworks after the match tonight, so it should be a good time if you can come out to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
