The Colorado Rapids will hold a memorial service in honor of Colin Clark at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and doors near Eighteen76 on the south side of the stadium open at 6:30 p.m.
Born in Fort Collins, Clark was a member of the Boulder Rapids Reserve in 2005 and the Rapids from 2006-2010, earning 84 appearances and 10 goals for the Burgundy Boys. Clark then played for Houston Dynamo from 2010-2012 and retired after the 2013 season with the LA Galaxy.
He passed away on August 26, 2019, at the age of 35 due to a suspected heart attack, according to the Coloradoan.
A friend set up a GoFundMe to raise money for Clark’s young son, Tyce. If you’d like to donate, click here.
Fans are encouraged to wear soccer attire, especially if you have a Colin Clark jersey.
The service will also be streamed live on ColoradoRapids.com/live.
