The Rapids are in Seattle for their first away match of the 2019 season.

The Colorado Rapids are in the Pacific Northwest this evening to take on the Seattle Sounders in their first away match of the 2019 season. The Rapids have only won two games in Seattle in 10 years, but are looking to prove how much they’ve improved since last year. Last weekend, Colorado tied the Portland Timbers 3-3 in the coldest game in MLS history, while Seattle destroyed the new expansion side FC Cincinnati 4-1.

The main concern for the Burgundy Boys is the backline, as four of the centerbacks on the roster are either out with injury (Kortne Ford, Tommy Smith, Kofi Opare) or on a red card suspension (Axel Sjoberg). That leaves Anthony Hudson with very few options in the back, but the club did bring homegrown rookie Sam Raben back up from the Springs as a reinforcement.
