Congratulations to Colorado Rapids Homegrown defender Sebastian Anderson for being selected for the U.S. Men’s National Team U-17 FIFA World Cup roster! The 17-year-old already has 13 caps under his belt with the U-15 and U-17 squads, most recently in September for the 4 Nations Tournament in the Netherlands.

The World Cup Tournament will take place from October 26th to November 17th. The U.S. is in Group D, which means they’ll face Japan, the Netherlands, and Senegal, with their first match against Senegal on October 27th in Brazil.

Anderson was the youngest play to sign a contract with the Rapids last season as a 16-year-old. He had six appearances for Colorado in 2019 (five from the start) and one goal.
