In past years, we had to analyze every photo and tweet to figure out who might be with the Colorado Rapids for preseason, but this year, the team is being much more forthcoming. A post today outlined who has been invited to preseason as well as who is dealing with injuries and a timeline for their return.

Jordan Schweitzer is in his second year with the Switchbacks and was a standout at DU from 2012-2015. He was an integral part of the midfield last year for Colorado Springs and featured in every game.

It’s interesting to see Kofi Opare on this list. There was a rumor floating around recently that the centerback had more or less signed a deal with the Rapids, but then he shut it down on Twitter last week:

Lastly, Enoch Mushagalusa is a former Academy player and was one of four called up by Anthony Hudson last year to train with the first team ahead of the Boca Juniors match.
Injuries
Kort Ford
Diagnosed with a calf strain and bone bruise back in December. He should be out 6-8 weeks.
Kei Kamara
Diagnosed with a pulmonary contusion on January 16th, which is essentially a lung bruise caused by trauma to the chest (maybe from a collision?). He should be out 4-6 weeks.
Sam Nicholson
Sam had a back issue at the end of last season and looks like he’s having problems again. He was diagnosed with a lumbar spine stress fracture on January 21st and will be out 2-3 weeks.
