According to MLS Soccer Sam Stejskal:

Late night news: Told that Colorado are close to signing ex-HOU, VAN, ORL attacker Giles Barnes from Leon. Club waived Joe Mason earlier in week. He cleared waivers today and is returning to Wolverhampton. Barnes made just three appearances, all in Copa MX, in six months w/ Leon.
