Colorado Rapids announce 2018 Unified Soccer Team roster

The team is partnering with Rangeview High School Unified Soccer Team this year.

The Colorado Rapids announced that they will be partnering with Rangeview High School Unified Soccer Team from Aurora for 2018. This will mark the 7th year that the MLS side has participated in the Special Olympics program. The roster includes players between the ages of 16-35, including both men and women with and without intellectual disabilities.

Once the team is selected, there is an official Signing Day for the players to sign their contracts, get their kits, and even be interviewed by Richard Fleming. The players also get to train with Rapids players and coaches, including Zac MacMath, Tommy Smith, and Jack Price. This year’s signing event was held last night (May 29).

The Rapids Unified squad has two games scheduled at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park for this season, both after the MLS teams play:

  • Saturday, June 23 vs. Minnesota Unified @ 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 25 vs. Real Salt Lake Unified @ 9 p.m.
