The Colorado Rapids are in Texas today to take on FC Dallas in the two team’s first match-up of the 2018 season. Dallas is unbeaten at home so far this season (they haven’t been on the road yet), while the Rapids are 0-1-0 on the road. The Rapids have earned 8 wins and 5 ties in Frisco, and are looking to pick up another 3 points after handily beating the Philadelphia Union in Colorado last weekend.
As we recently learned, Marlon Hairston is out for 2-3 weeks after having a minor surgery, while Danny Wilson is expected to be back to full training next week. We expected Dillon Serna to fill in for the injured Hairston, but looks like Head Coach Anthony Hudson is going with Kip Colvey instead. Axel Sjoberg is stepping in for Wilson, and we’re also seeing Nana Boateng in the starting XI today.
Dallas has their back-up keeper in goal today, as Jesse Gonzalez is out with a right knee injury.
