UPDATE: What to know about the 2018 Colorado Rapids Supporters’ Sale

New, comment

The annual sale is coming up next weekend. Here’s how to make the most out of it.

Even after a terrible year, the Colorado Rapids Supporters’ Sale is something I look forward to. It’s a great chance to get some gear at half the price it would normally cost. There’s also usually way too many people in way too small of a space, so you have to think strategically if you want something specific.

When: Saturday, December 15th and Sunday, December 16th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
(not just Saturday as previously reported)

Where: Around back by the players’ entrance. Your best bet is to park in Lot A off Prairie Parkway (the Supporters’ Lot)

When should I get there?

The sale is not in a big space, so they only let a certain number of people in at a time. I would get there by at least 9 a.m., though some recommend getting there up to two hours early.

What do they have?

Just about everything, but don’t expect to find something from every player. I would guess there won’t be much Kellyn Acosta stuff since he wasn’t here all year and the more popular players’ gear goes fast.

They have practice jerseys and shorts, t-shirts, coats, jackets, game-worn jerseys, hats, scarves, leftover (non-used) socks, practice balls, and bags.

Other Tips:

  • They replenish the stock as they have it, until it runs out.
  • If you work on the weekend, this is not a “I’m going to run over there during my lunch break” thing. I am usually there for 2-3 hours from start to finish.
  • The game kits are usually in the back, so if that’s what you want, go straight there. Most of the other stuff can be seen as you wrap back around through the line to pay.
