After Kellyn Acosta’s efforts in the October friendlies, Burgundy Wave photographer John A. Babiak predicted that the Colorado Rapids midfielder would be a part of the European friendlies, and he was right—Acosta is one of 12 MLS players on the 28-man roster for the U.S. Men’s National Team friendlies.
As Acosta has made his way back into the regular rotation for the USMNT, he’s becoming a key player for the team. With 21 caps for the senior squad, he brings just enough experience to be seen as a leader, but is still young enough to be a part of the future. The rest of the roster is comprised of mostly familiar faces (Christian Pulisic is back!) and seven MLS players that are still making a playoff run with their club teams (including MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Zack Steffen and MLS Defender of the Year Aaron Long).
The November matches are against England on November 15th in Wembley Stadium in London (12:30 p.m. MT on ESPN2 & UniMás) and November 20th against Italy in Luminus Arena in Genk, Belgium (12:45 p.m. MT on FS1 & UniMás).
