After Kellyn Acosta’s efforts in the October friendlies, Burgundy Wave photographer John A. Babiak predicted that the Colorado Rapids midfielder would be a part of the European friendlies, and he was right—Acosta is one of 12 MLS players on the 28-man roster for the U.S. Men’s National Team friendlies.
As Acosta has made his way back into the regular rotation for the USMNT, he’s becoming a key player for the team. With 21 caps for the senior squad, he brings just enough experience to be seen as a leader, but is still young enough to be a part of the future. The rest of the roster is comprised of mostly familiar faces (Christian Pulisic is back!) and seven MLS players that are still making a playoff run with their club teams (including MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Zack Steffen and MLS Defender of the Year Aaron Long).
