#HOUvCOL Starting XI and Game Thread

The Rapids have been dreadful on the road this year. They face a Houston team that are 3-4-1 (WTL) in their last 8 games.

MLS: Houston Dynamo at Colorado Rapids Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Rapids head to Texas, facing the strongest Houston Dynamo team they’ve seen in years. Houston have everything to play for, sitting 5th in the Western Conference table and needing to pick up points to keep on playoff pace, as they are only two points above the playoff red line. The Dynamo are undefeated at BBVA Compass Field with a 9-3-0 (WTL) record, and are back for what will likely be an emotional game after Hurricane Harvey flooded two million local residents out of their homes last week.

The Rapids, meanwhile, play for nothing but pride at this point, as they sit in last place out of all MLS teams, and are winless on the road this season. Colorado has yet to win or draw under Interim Head Coach Steve Cooke, who has rolled out a 4-3-3 each of the last three weeks. I’d expect a formation or tactics change beginning this week.
