3 Colorado Rapids recognized by MLS for effort in win vs. Houston

Aigner, Ford, and Badji earned honors for their play in Houston.

MLS: Houston Dynamo at Colorado Rapids Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

After finally getting a road win, the Colorado Rapids had three players recognized by MLS. Stefan Aigner earned a spot on the MLS Team of the Week bench, as did defender Kortne Ford. This was Aigner’s second appearance for the Rapids, and he subbed into the game in the 66th minute. The German earned his first MLS assist with his on-a-dime pass to Dominique Badji to put the ‘Pids up 1-0 late in the game.

Speaking of Badji, his half-volley was good enough to be nominated for Goal of the Week. As of this writing, his goal had just 4% of the votes, so I’m going to say he doesn’t win.
