#COLvSEA: Highlights, stats, and post-game quotes

The Rapids got behind early and never caught up.

Dominique Badji scored one for the ‘Pids, but it wasn’t enough.

In a game filled with yellow cards (albeit some deserved), plenty of diving from Seattle, and probably both a Goal of the Week from Clint Dempsey and a Save of the Week from Stefan Frei, our Colorado Rapids were defeated 3-1. Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni started the same lineup that had just beaten Houston Dynamo 3-1 three days earlier, and it was obvious that fatigue was a factor. At least the Burgundy Boys have a couple weeks off to recover and get healthy.

The Colorado Rapids currently sit in 10th place in the Western Conference with a record of 6-11-1 (19 points).

POST-GAME QUOTES

Pablo Mastroeni

“I thought we were set up to get a good result here. Unfortunately, we got behind against a team that has a lot of fire power in Clint [Dempsey], Will [Bruin] and [Nicolas] Lodeiro, so when you’re chasing the game against this kind of team, it makes it very difficult. That said, I could not be more proud of the effort and commitment that they showed one another tonight.”

Mohammed Saeid

“We have a lot of injuries, so hopefully we can get some guys back. I know we have a great team, so we just have to keep it up.”

Dillon Serna

“I think we were on top of the game in the first half. They just caught us in a couple of counters and they put their chances away. We ended up getting one back but we were open in the back, allowing the third goal.”
