On Saturday, June 22nd, the Colorado Rapids will resume play north of the border in Canada against Toronto FC at BMO Field. Kickoff is set for 5:00pm MDT and the match will be broadcast on Altitude.

The Rapids are returning from an 18-day break from league action against a tough opponent on the road. If Colorado wants to make a run at the postseason, they will need to get a result in the Canadian province of Ontario, something they have failed to do in seven road fixtures this season. While TFC boasts a strong roster, they will be without the services of Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, and Justin Morrow. The Canadian side is also unbeaten at home this season.

Colorado (6-11-1, 19 points), have taken advantage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup break to allow injured players to get healthy. That being said, Bobby Burling is still dealing with a long-term injury while Shkelzen Gashi is questionable with a foot ailment. Tim Howard will not feature as he is with the United States national team for the Gold Cup semifinals and Mekeil Williams is suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

Toronto (11-3-6, 39 points) are currently top of the Eastern Conference with the best record in Major League Soccer. The Reds are coming off a 2-2 draw at New York City FC on Wednesday. Former Cruz Azul midfielder Victor Vasquez scored in stoppage time to salvage a precious point for Toronto at Yankee Stadium.

TFC should have Toisant Rickets, Jonathan Osorio, and Armando Cooper back from the Gold Cup after their respective national teams of Canada and Panama were eliminated from the tournament this past week.

Historically, the Rapids have found success at BMO Field hard to come by as the Rocky Mountain side only have one league win in Toronto. However, the Rapids did win the 2010 MLS Cup at BMO Field in near freezing conditions over FC Dallas. That was then, and the reality now is that Colorado have the majority of their remaining games on the road. They need to get wins away from home if they have any hope of a playoff push this season.
