Here we are in week 18. Over halfway through the season. Things are quieting down this week a bit as far as fantasy goes, with no double games and two teams actually have the week off (New York Red Bulls and the Seattle Sounders). Let’s check out the Burgundy Wave standings to see how week 17 went.

BW League Standings after Week 17

Classic League

Competition is fierce in the classic league, and the top stayed the same as last week. Sin City FC (10th) and The Wall of the West (35th) tied with the highest score for the week at 122 points.

There are 123 points separating 1st and 10th place, put there are some close scores in between.

Head-to-Head

The H2H league saw a bit of movement, with Counting Cronins bumping Los Pollos Hermanos out of the 3rd place spot. Holy Shipp, G’wan the Villa!, and Sin City FC all moved up a spot as well to take the 8th, 9th, and 10th spots. draftKicks and Bad and Badji are sitting tight in 1st and 2nd, each with a 15-0-1 record, but THEY PLAY EACH OTHER THIS WEEK so someone will come out on top.

This week, we have some players out on international duty and, as any Rapids fan knows, there are lots of injuries. There are no DGW, but the New York Red Bulls and the Seattle Sounders are off.

As our regular fantasy analyst Dom isn’t able to write the fantasy recap, I’m going to share a couple of my favorite resources to check out:

Round 18 starts tonight, so lock in your lineups by 5:30 MDT. Check the injury report and follow us @burgundywave.

Good luck!
