After a successful weekend, the Colorado Rapids Development Academy squads will head to Highlands Ranch to face off against local rival Real Colorado this Saturday.

The U18s are sixth in the Central Conference Frontier Division, and are currently sitting in the ninth wildcard slot (out of 11), after coming back from being down a goal to tie Sporting Kansas City on the road last weekend. Enoch Mushagalusa scored the equalizer.

The U16s also came back late in the game to grab a draw and a point in Kansas City on Sunday, with Stefan DeLeone putting one in with just three minutes left on the clock. They are fourth in the Central Conference Frontier Division and fifth out of the 11 playoff spots in their age group.

The younger squads played against FC Boulder last weekend, with each group handily beating their opponents. The U14s won 5-0 thanks to Zion Wagoner, Jason Robles, Carlos Vasquez, Dhani Russell, and Shane Bryan. Jaden Ohlsen had four goals, Andy Glavan had two goals, and Mario Ramirez and Jenson Davis each earned one goal to boost the U13s over FC Boulder by 8-0.

The U12s won both of their games, too. Adan Herrera, Spencer Baldwin, Reed Schneider, Alan Sevilla, and Yahir Carreon-Lazos helped their team win 5-0, while Banyon Lyon had two goals and Greyson Mitchell had one for a 3-2 win.

All of the Colorado Rapids DA teams will be heading down to Highlands Ranch to play Real Colorado on Saturday, May 27. The teams will then take on Colorado Rush at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on June 3.
