In the their third game in a week, the Colorado Rapids are taking on the Philadelphia Union today. The Union are on a three-game winning streak, outscoring their most recent opponents 9-0, while the Rapids are coming off a tough midweek loss to the Chicago Fire.
The Rapids are unbeaten in Philadelphia (2-0-3), but the Union have not just pulled themselves up from the bottom of the league lately, but are killing it. This could be another tough one for the Burgundy Boys, who are heading back to Colorado for their four next matches after this one.
Pablo Mastroeni decided to go with a 4-4-2 again, but we’re seeing a very different group. Mike da Fonte makes his Rapids debut, Axel Sjoberg is back (!), Sam Hamilton and Josh Gatt gets their first starts of the season, Kort Ford is back in the lineup, and Caleb Calvert gets his second start of the 2017 season.
