Colorado is up against Lucho Solignac’s Fire tonight.

MLS: Chicago Fire at Los Angeles Galaxy Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids ride a one-game win streak into the Windy City to face Mrs. O’Leary’s boys in a mid-season, mid-week match. This is an important test for the Rapids, who rebooted their offense with a slick and offensive 4-4-2 after more than a year locked into a 4-2-3-1. Will the Rapids become more cautious on the road or continue with their aggressive and offense-minded plan? Is the 4-4-2 core to this team’s new identity? Was the win over a slow and tired San Jose an anomaly, or does it portend a full-blown Rapids rebirth? Maybe we’ll get some of our answers tonight.

Colorado Rapids Starting XI:

Tim Howard; Marlon Hairston, Bobby Burling, Jared Watts, Eric Miller; Micheal Azira, Dillon Powers, Shkelzen Gashi, Mohammed Saeid; Dominique Badji, Alan Gordon

Chicago Fire Starting XI:

Lampson; Vincent, Joao Mira, Kappelhof, Polster; McCarty, Schweinsteiger; Accam, de Leeuw, Solignac; Nikolic
