On Saturday, March 11th, the Colorado Rapids will travel to Harrison, New Jersey, to face the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 2:00 pm Mountain Time, and the match will be broadcast on UniMás in the U.S.

The Colorado Rapids will look to build on their slim 1-0 victory over New England Revolution during the opening weekend of the Major League Soccer season. They face a tough task against a New York Red Bulls that defeated Atlanta United 2-1 in Atlanta’s debut MLS game on Sunday, March 5th.

Colorado (1-0-0, 3 pts) are coming off a win over New England Revolution at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday, March 4th. Dominique Badji proved to be the difference as his 2nd half goal put the Revolution to the sword. The Rapids picked up right where they left off as they grabbed a low-scoring win over an opponent they managed to shut out.

New York (1-0-0, 3 points) silenced a crowd of roughly 55,000 at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium as the Red Bulls overturned a 1-0 deficit to come back and win 2-1 in Atlanta. Daniel Royer and a Anton Walkes’ own goal turned the game in New York’s favor in the deep south.

Pablo Mastroeni will face a big task to break down the Red Bulls’ defense. Colorado was one of the lowest-scoring offenses in 2016, but their defense was one of the best. Tim Howard is unlikely to feature for the Rapids, but Albanian international Shkelzen Gashi could play after dealing with an inflamed Achilles. A win would give the Rapids a dream start with a home match against Minnesota United FC the following week.

All time at New York, the Red Bulls have nine wins, the Rapids have six, and there have been four ties.

QUESTIONABLE: Shkëlzen Gashi (ankle), Tim Howard (adductor) (though we could see both men today)

OUT: none

New York

OUT: Gideon Baah (leg), Connor Lade ( ACL), Gonzalo Veron (hamstring), Tyler Adams (with the U-20 team)
