The holiday season is upon us and everyone wants to give that perfect gift. But most of us are adults and most adults I know buy things that they want when they want them, which means that it can 1. be tough to buy for these people and 2. be tough to think of things you want from other people.
That’s where this list comes in. We put together a few ideas of things that you could get for the Colorado Rapids fan in your life or that you could add to your list to hand out to others.
1. A game-worn jersey.
The Supporters’ Sale happens once a year and if you have time to get out there this weekend, I highly recommend it. The Rapids are selling all kinds of stuff they want to get rid of, from game kits to practice shorts to leftover gear bags. Find out more here. If you’ve already missed the sale, I’m sure a brand new kit would be just as appreciated.
2. A Rapids-branded Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola partnered with a few MLS teams and national teams to bring the fans bottles of Coke with their favorite team on them. Lucky for us, the Rapids were one of those teams. Bottles are $5 each and you still have plenty of time to order and get them by Christmas or the end of Hanukkah.
3. A Rapids Retro bobblehead.
On November 21, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame (yes, that’s right) released officially licensed retro bobbleheads for every MLS team. They aren’t modeled after any player in particular, but the style is similar to the original bobbleheads created for the NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB in the 1960s. This is the first set ever produced for MLS, and they are available for a limited time.
4. A Rapids phone case.
Right now, the MLS store is offering free shipping certain items and on orders over $50 (code: MLS50). While many fans go for the jersey or the scarf, there are some pretty cool little accessories in the Rapids store, like phone cases, mittens, stuffed animals, and a snowman ornament.
5. An MLS Live subscription.
MLS Live doesn’t only ensure that you won’t miss a moment of Rapids’ action, but when there are only a couple of games on national TV, MLS Live is a great way to catch it all. It’s also helps you scope out other Western Conference teams and players. The best part? It’s on sale right now for $7.99 FOR THE WHOLE YEAR. It’s normally $79.99, so this might be worth gifting to yourself.
