This morning, Sam Stejskal with MLSSoccer.com posted this tweet:
Source: The Colorado Rapids have acquired Edgar Castillo on a year-long loan from Monterrey. Story/more details to follow.

While the Colorado Rapids are staying quiet on the topic, I have heard that the formal announcement won’t come until after Monterrey’s season is over anyway, which means we should hear something after the holidays or at the beginning of the new year. The deal is also still pending a medical exam, but all signs point towards Castillo wearing burgundy in 2018.
The rumor first broke at the end of November and you can catch up on it here.
