#COLvDAL: Starting XI & Game Thread

The team is meeting at DSGP for the first time this season.

MLS: Colorado Rapids at FC Dallas Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

In the second-to-last home game of the season, the Colorado Rapids are taking on last year’s Supporters’ Shield winners, FC Dallas. Things have changed since last year, with FC Dallas (10-9-12, 42 points) sitting in 8th place in the Western Conference and tied with the San Jose Earthquakes and Real Salt Lake. Dallas is playing for a playoff spot, while the Rapids are out. It’s a bummer that we don’t have post-season to look forward to, but it’s fun to know that our Burgundy Boys can play spoiler to two of our Western Conference rivals this week and next week (we play RSL).

The Rapids are missing Tim Howard and Mekeil Williams to international play this week, while Jared Watts is suspended for the next two games. Even though Micheal Azira is listed as questionable, he’s been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, so I don’t think we’ll see him, either. Dallas is missing Kellyn Acosta and Maynor Figueroa for international duty.
