The Colorado Rapids just announced that forward Dominique Badji has been re-signed to a 2-year deal with club options for 2020 and 2021. Badji has improved each year since he was chosen in the fourth round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, and has 17 goals and 10 assists in 72 games so far in his career.
In 2017, the Senegalese striker has put in a team-high 9 goals and earned 6 assists.
“We’re pleased to be able to sign Dom for two more years,” said Rapids Sporting Director and Interim General Manager, Pádraig Smith, in the press release. “Dom has quickly established himself as one of the most promising young players in MLS and we’re confident he will play a big role in our future.”
Congrats Badji! We’re happy to have you locked down for the next two years!
