Burgundy Wave touched base with the Colorado Rapids today and was able to get an update on the players that went out with an injury this past weekend.
Micheal Azira: He was originally listed as having a “sore” ankle. It was later confirmed that he has a high ankle sprain and while he is still day-to-day, Azira is unlikely to play this weekend.
Mekeil Williams: Also listed as having a “sore” ankle but has been released for international duty for Trinidad & Tobago.
Mike da Fonte: Some thought that da Fonte was subbed out due to being kneed in the ribs by Montreal Impact’s Daniel Lovitz in the first half. His substitution was a “tactical decision” according to Ryan Madden. He is perfectly fine and will be at training as planned on Tuesday.
