A bit of news for your Sunday evening.

MLS: LA Galaxy at Sporting KC John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

1/23 UPDATE: The Colorado Rapids announced that Gordon has been signed to a one-year contract, pending a clear medical exam. In the press release, Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni said, “Alan has a lot of the qualities that we look for in a center forward and we are certain he will help us increase our attacking output. He has been an exemplary pro with a wealth of experience playing in this league and we’re confident that he will bring the right mentality to our group.”

Alan Gordon broke the news before the Colorado Rapids did today, posting a farewell to LA on Instagram:

Just in case it gets taken down, it says -

Looks like a good move to me.

Welcome to Colorado, Gordo!
