The Colorado Rapids went across the Rocky Mountains in the hope of getting three points and keeping the Rocky Mountain Cup in Denver. But in the end, Real Salt Lake capitalized beating the Rapids 2-1.
The Rapids had the opportunities early and could not keep the momentum after getting the first goal by Shkelzen Gashi. Dominique Badji had a good shot and Nick Rimando gave up a weird, big rebound that Shkelzen Gashi finished.
RSL came back and got two goals by Yura Movsisyan. His second one probably will earn him goal of the week. RSL had two chances from the penalty spot, both gifts in my opinion but were denied both times. The first one Movsisyan missed wide and then Tim Howard came up big denying Burrito Martinez.
Who was your man of the match? Was it Howard with the saves? Was it Gashi with the Goal? Did another player stand out for you?
