While the Rapids are going to Vancouver with a 12-game unbeaten streak, the last two matches have been draws and FC Dallas jumped ahead of us in the standings after Monday's disappointing tie with Portland. Vancouver, on the other hand, has lost three of their last five games.
Considering that it's been more than 180 minutes since the Burgundy Boys have put one in the back of the net, we need to score some goals tonight. With Kansas City and Dallas is coming to town over the next couple weeks, the Rapids need this win.
What to Watch For
1. Tim Howard. Despite their less-than-impressive record recently, Vancouver scores goals, so look for Tim Howard to have to work a little harder than he did in the last game.
2. (Almost) Everyone is back and rested. With the international tournaments over (and the Rapids out of the Open Cup), today could be the day we see Jermaine Jones, Marco Pappa, Shkëlzen Gashi, and Kevin Doyle on the pitch at the same time. With everyone back, and the addition of Tim Howard, this is a great opportunity for everyone to get in sync for the upcoming weeks.
