The Colorado Rapids ended the scoring drought last week, when Kevin Doyle scored at 59' and Axel Sjöberg put one in at the last minute (literally) to tie Vancouver 2-2. And now we're back at home, where the Rapids have yet to lose, facing conference rivals Sporting KC, who is coming off a road loss at Chicago just a couple days ago.
The goal for the Rapids is to bump that unbeaten streak to 14 games, as well as their winning streak against Sporting KC (currently four games).
What to Watch For
1. A clean sweep. Since 2000, no team has swept another team in a single season, when the teams played each other more than once. The Rapids could gain that honor with a win today.
2. Some old faces. Both Bobby Burling and Sean St. Ledger practiced this week. While it's not that likely we will see them on the pitch, who knows what head coach Pablo Mastroeni has up his sleeve.
3. A PokeStop. Yeah, I said it. For those of you who have joined in on the Pokefun and are going to be at the game, word has it that Eighteen 76 is a PokeStop.
