USWNT MatchDay: America's Starting XI

We're all hoping for a U.S. win in the second of a two-game series with Japan.

It's a new day and another game for the U.S. Women's National Team. After a disappointing tie on June 2nd, they are no doubt looking to make some improvements on the pitch and come away with a W today in Cleveland. Veterans Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe are still out as they recover from injuries. The only change in the starting XI from the last game is Christen Press is starting instead of Mallory Pugh (who gets the day off), as head coach Jill Ellis works on figuring out the best lineup for the Olympic team.

The USWNT starting XI:

Hope Solo, Kelley O'Hara, Julie Johnston, Becky Sauerbrunn, Meghan Klingenberg, Morgan Brian, Allie Long, Christen Press, Crystal Dunn, Alex Morgan, and Tobin Heath.

Today's match will be broadcasted on ESPN2 at 11:00 AM MST. Check out USWNT vs. Japan Game 2: How to Watch for complete details.
