Copa America Centenario--Day One Review, Day Two Preview--USA Listless In Loss

Game one is in the books and three games are on tap today.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The 2016 Copa America Centenario got underway under blistering skies in Santa Clara, California as the United States Men's National Team and Colombia got the tournament underway.

Here is our recap of day one and how to watch day two:

United States 0:2 Colombia

Ugh.  In a performance that can only be described as "uninspired" the United States lost to Colombia in California last night.  Colombia was powered by two first half goals from Cristian Zapata and James Rodriguez and cruised the rest of the way.

The United States generated just two shots on target (both from Seattle Sounders forward Clint Dempsey) over the 90 minutes and struggled to put a coherent attack together during the match.  Many players struggled for the United States, and it's difficult to find one that put in a man-of-the-match performance.  Needless to say, if the United States does not play better on Tuesday in Chicago against Costa Rica, their Copa tournament will end quickly.

With the loss, the USA drops to fourth in Group A and Colombia is first.
