WNT at DSGP; Texas Derby is a sloppy rainy mess; and Copa America starts in a few hours!

Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

Do you like... soccer? Do you like... America? Then, hoo boy, you're smack dab in the middle of a great 24 hours right now...

The USWNT got quite a challenge from 2015 World Cup runner-up Japan last night. The two went toe to toe for 94 minutes and came out with a 3-3 draw. It was some of the best football played at DSGP in the past 3 years. New Burgundy Wave writer Abbie Mood tells the tale... (welcome Abbie!)

We have a month of some of the best soccer here on the planet, right here in the US. How big is it? Google's doodle is a nice Copa illustration...

Tonight's game kicks off with USA-Colombia. Stars and Stripes FC has a nice preview. NBD. We just have to stop James Rodriguez and Juan Cuadrado. Jeff Carlisle has a good preview too. If you want to here insights on every team and every group, Total Soccer Show dedicated a stack of podcasts to it. Subscribe on iTunes, or stream in off the web right here...

There were a few MLS games last night, but the best were the images of the Texas Derby between FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo played in torrential downpour.

Check out Dynamo Theory's recap, but also head to twitter for a bunch of gifs of slippin' and a slidin' in the Texas rain...

Have a great weekend... (I... I believe... I believe that...)
