Colorado Rapids at FC Dallas: How to Watch, Live Stream and More

The Rapids and the Hoops get together for the first time tonight in Frisco

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids are in Frisco, Texas to take on FC Dallas in a matchup that features the top two teams in Major League Soccer.  This will be the first of three (and maybe more) meetings this season for the two clubs and although this is the Open Cup, make no mistake: both teams will want to win this one.

The Goal for the Rapids:  Win and Advance

What to Watch For

1) Going For It: The Rapids have an EXCELLENT chance at advancing and have the quality for the first time in, well, forever to make a serious and deep run in the US Open Cup.  I want to see them absolutely go for this one and beat Dallas.  If that means rolling out your normal Starting XI, then do it

2) The Schedule: Want another reason to go for it?  Your starters have not played in (at least) a week and your next game is on Monday.  Go.  For.  This.

How We Got Here

The Rapids--Colorado booked its ticket into the Round of 16 with a 1-0 victory over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on the strength of an 84th minute goal from Dillon Serna and solid goalkeeping from Zac MacMath

The Hoops--FC Dallas got to the Round of 16 with a 2-2 result (5:6 in PK's) over Oklahoma City Energy FC in a match that was much more difficult than anticipated for FCD.
