The Colorado Rapids went on the road and put up a heroic effort and tied the Los Angeles Galaxy 0–0. Some may say they were unlucky not to get a victory against the Galaxy.

This was not a boring 0–0 draw. There was some good action, questionable officiating, and some excellent goal keeping. Brian Rowe for the Galaxy and Zac MacMath for the Rapids made some excellent saves to keep this match scoreless.

Marlon Hairston had two good opportunities for the Rapids and he was stoned both times by Rowe who was in a good position. Hairston then got tentative when he had another chance later in the match and passed it back in the middle right to a Galaxy player when he probably should have put it across the goal mouth.

For me, the Rapids were the better, more dangerous team for most of the match. This was especially certain in the first half. In fact, the Rapids won the possession game in this match, maintaining 50.4% of possession for the entire match.

The Galaxy resulted to hopeful long-balls to Rapids nemesis Alan Gordon and those were just cleared away by Axel Sjoberg.

Finally, can some one tell me why Jack MacBean did not receive a yellow card in this match? He elbowed Dennis Castillo in the mouth, then stomped on his foot and finally put a boot to Jared Watts head at the normal head height.
