The Colorado Rapids are on the road tonight against LA Galaxy in what will be a matchup of two teams who have designs on long postseason runs. The Rapids come into this game riding a club record ten game unbeaten run and will be looking to make it two wins in a row against LA. The Galaxy on the other hand will want to end the run and show that they are the class of the Western Conference.
The Goal for Colorado: grab a road result
What to Watch For
1) A Light Schedule: Colorado is in an interesting time in their year. This is only the second MLS match since May 28 and they Rapids do not play in the regular season again until July 4. (They do have a US Open Cup match next week)
2) Going For It: There may be a tendency to play defensively and try and bunker and grab a result. That may work in some places, but I do not think it is a reality against the Galaxy. There are too many offensive weapons, and despite how good the Rapids have been on defense, they will not get a result if they park the bus the entire game.
3) But is this one a big deal: It's a midweek game and the Rapids are missing a ton of players. How big of a deal would it be in the team lost in Los Angeles? Honestly, I don't think it's that big of a deal if they lose--that is what the MLS experts will assume will happen. But it becomes a big, big deal if they win. The Rapids going to LA and grabbing a win while missing the big names? Trust me, it would be a big story.
4) And the missing players:
So, no Keane, Rogers, Zardes (LA), Burch, Burling, Gashi, Jones, Williams (COL) for #LAvCOL tomorrow. #TakeYourBoots

Predicted Starting XI
Here is the tough part of this one. With so many people unavailable for the Rapids, this truly will be a make-shift lineup. But that is why you have depth and why all of these players need to be ready to play and contribute to this team.
Zac MacMath, Eric Miller, Axel Sjoberg, Jared Watts, Marlon Hairston, Sam Cronin, Micheal Azira, Dillon Powers, Marco Pappa, Luis Solignac, Kevin Doyle
