The United States Men's National Team takes to the
artificial pitch tonight in Seattle with a chance to advance to the semi-finals of the 2016 Copa America Centenario. However, they face a tough task as they take Ecuador who has shown through this tournament that they have the chops to play with anyone. Who wins this? Can the USA take that next step? Or will this be another disappointment for the Red, White and Blue?
The Goal for the USA: Win
What to Watch For
1) The Lineup: Jurgen Klinsmann has kept the same lineup for all three games in this tournament and while it should stay pretty consistent, the red card by DeAndre Yedlin changes things. Who comes in for the Sunderland man?
2) Park the Bus or Go For It: Look, I don't really understand all of the tactical decisions that Jurgen makes, but I do know one thing: I want this team to go for it. Do not park the bus. Do not play conservative. GO FOR IT
3) What's at Stake: Quite simply, this is a massive game. I know that this tournament is not that big of a deal for some, but winning this match and clinching a spot in the semifinals would be huge. Just huge. It would validate a lot of what Jurgen has been saying, but would also show that this team can win big games. We can't continue to settle for mediocrity. Our goal should be to win this tournament and this game can show that we are serious with this.
