There's no Copa America on today. So you'll just have to make do with a dozen US Open Cup matches and the Euros. It's hard, I know.

The Copa America Centenario group stage wrapped up last night, as Argentina and Chile booked their tickets to the quarterfinals. Messi played the second half, and is giving full credit and warning about their next round opponent, Venezuela...

You know who's not giving much credit to his opponent in a big world football match? Ronaldo. CR7 thinks Iceland has a 'small mentality'. Huh. Iceland, a country big enough to fit in the trunk of VW Bug. Small. How'd they do against Portugal? Oh right, it was a tie...

The Rapids own Shkelzen Gashi and his national side Albania take on France at 1pm MST. Should be cool to see a guy that normally laces them up next to Bobby Burling try and chase down Paul Pogba, Patrice Evra, and Olivier Giroud...

The rest of the Copa America bracket is set. The US continues the quest for hardware on Thursday against Ecuador...

The Open Cup was awesome last night, and that was just a warmup for tonight. Our burgundy boys outlasted the USL's Colorado Springs Switchbacks...

But that was a pedestrian affair compared with the two big 'Rudy'/'Cool Runnings'/'The Rookie' underdog narratives on the night. The Wilmington Hammerheads took RSL to PKs before losing, 3-1...

And the mighty LA Galaxy, five-time MLS Cup champs, home to Beckham and Gerrard and Cole and Keane, needed extra time AND a trick play that was borderline cheating in order to beat a team of hardware store employees, schoolteachers, construction workers and bar denizens from Santa Ana. La Maquina may have lost, but they will be a US Open Cup legend for a long time to come...

There's a dozen US Open Cup games on tonight, from 5pm to 8:30pm...

You may need to borrow a few extra laptops to keep up. Happy soccering, everyone!
