Colorado Rapids MatchDay: The Burgundy Starting XI

The Colorado Rapids and the Philadelphia Union take to the pitch tonight a Dick's Sporting Goods Park in the unlikeliest of unlikely match-ups in this 2016 season.

Both clubs sit atop their respective conferences nearing the Copa America Centenario break and that was scenario that neither team could have predicted going into this year.

For the Rapids they are on one of the best runs of form in team history with 6 wins out of their last eight games and they actually lead the Supporters Shield standings.

The Union are equally surprising as many of the "so-called" soccer experts had them pegged for near the bottom of the Eastern Conference.  But they have been the surprise, but deserved, leaders of the East and pose a great challenge for the Burgundy Boys.
