I'll Take A Road Point

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Rapids traveled to Quebec to play Montreal Impact on a beautiful Quebec day that saw the Burgundy Boys claim a crucial road point and continued their fine run of form.

And oh, they are top of the Supporters Shield standings.

The Rapids found themselves down after nine minutes after a tremendous Didier Drogba free kick but they did not let this deter them and did their best to claw one back.  It came after half time when the Rapids scored an equalizer but that was negated after just three minutes and the Rapids found themselves down 2-1 heading into the latter stages of the match.  Bobby Burling got them to level pegging in the 73rd and despite a number of chances, the Rapids ended the match at 2.

For the Burgundy Boys, they are now leaders in MLS on 17 points and have a better goal differential over the second place team.

How does that feel Rapids fans?
